Ivar’s Cocktail Sauce Recipe Suggestions

Use in classic shrimp cocktail, oyster shooters or to give zip to Bloody Mary mix, also great as a substitute for ketchup in meatloaf.

Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Heat ½ cup Ivar’s Ginger Lime Cocktail Sauce with ½ cup of Grape Jelly, pour over cooked meatballs.

Seafood Spreads

Mix ¼ cup Ivar’s Ginger Lime Cocktail Sauce with an 8-ounce package of cream cheese. Fold in ½ cup of cooked shrimp, crab meat, clams or smoked salmon. Serve with crackers, toast points or a vegetable platter.

Crab Louis

Mix equal parts Ivar’s Ginger Lime Cocktail and Lemon Tartar Sauces for Louis Dressing. Serve with diced Romaine, Dungeness crab meat, hard cooked eggs and black olives.

Cocktail Glazed Grilled Shrimp

Heat ¼ cup Ivar’s Ginger Lime Cocktail Sauce, brush over grilled prawns.

Cranberry Sauce

Heat 1 cup Ivar’s Ginger Lime Cocktail Sauce with ½ cup dried cranberries, serve over cedar planked salmon or baked ham.

Ivar’s Tartar Sauce Recipe Suggestions

Use as a dressing in your favorite pasta salads, use as a spread on salmon or hamburgers, in sushi and of course as a dip for fish and chips.

Seafood Cobb Salad

Mix ¼ cup Ivar’s Lemon Tartar Sauce with 2 tablespoons sour cream; mix with 1 head cleaned diced Romaine lettuce. Place lettuce mixture in wide bowl. Arrange cooked Oregon Shrimp, Dungeness crab meat, avocado slices, diced tomatoes, sliced hard boiled eggs and bacon over lettuce.

King Crab Potato Salad

Boil 1 pound fingerling potatoes, chill then slice into coins. Slice 2 stalks celery, one medium diced red bell pepper, and 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley. Mix vegetables with ½ cup Ivar’s Lemon Tartar sauce. Fold in 1 cup cooked Alaskan King Crab Meat. Chill for 1 hour before serving.

Warm Artichoke Dip

Mix one 8-ounce package cream cheese, ¼ cup Ivar’s Lemon Tartar Sauce, ¼ cup Parmesan cheese and ¼ cup Swiss cheese. Fold in one 14 ounce can of chopped artichoke hearts. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 25 minutes. For a Seattle version, add in ½ cup of cooked crab meat.

Crab Cakes

Combine 1 pound crab meat with 1/3 cup Ivar’s Lemon Tartar Sauce and 1 egg yolk. Chill mixture 1 hour. Use mixture for crab cakes, stuffed mushroom caps or crab stuffed halibut.

Chicken or Tuna Fish Salad

Mix 1 can of cooked chicken or tuna fish with 2 tablespoons Ivar’s Lemon Tartar Sauce.

Baked Alaskan Cod

Arrange cod on baking dish, lightly coat with Ivar’s Lemon Tartar Sauce, then sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Bake at 350 degrees until fish is opaque throughout.
