Ivar's Puget Sound Style Clam Chowder

This distinctive Northwest-style chowder with its hint of smoked bacon is made with meaty sea clams.

STOVETOP

Pour chowder into heavy saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring often.

MICROWAVE

Remove lid and protective film.
Place container in microwave and loosely cover with microwavable plastic wrap or paper towel.
Heat the chowder on high for 2 minutes
Stir chowder thoroughly and replace plastic wrap or paper towel cover.
Heat for an additional 2-3 minutes or until hot.
Microwave ovens power varies, time is approximate.
CAUTION: chowder and container will be hot.
Remove container from microwave and uncover. Stir before eating.
